The Denials Of Shazam!
As we've seen, the Power of Shazam! has been a bit wonky in the pages of Teen Titans Academy, and in these four issues that make up this mini-series we'll hopefully not only find out what's been going on with Billy Batson and his ability to become the World's Mightiest Mortal but we'll get it sorted out as well and the Big Red Cheese will fly on and hopefully become a bigger part of the DC Omniverse.... since, I love this character and always want to see him in more and more things. Let's jump into this issue and see what's going on with the Marvel Family.
Catwoman #33 Review
The Other Gun
Justice League #65 Review
Form Of........ Disappointment
Previously in Justice League, we saw all the Brian Michael Bendis creations showing up to fill up an issue that ultimately did nothing but the big gist of the issue was, Synmar Utopica escaped his United Federation of Planets' cell and was making his way back to Earth to take on Superman, while Green Arrow and Black Canary were confronted with some Checkmate business. Lets' jump into this issue and hope that something happens and hope that it feels like Bendis understands or cares about the characters that he's using here. Let's check it out.
Blue and Gold #1 Review
Heroes For Hire
Release Date: July 20, 2021
It's the reunion we've all been waiting for and while I'm happy to finally get Michael Carter and Ted Kord back together again, I'm not sure if they work together anymore, Booster in the past feels like he's had some progression in his character so he's not constantly trying to get fame and fortune and ever since we had Ted Kord come back and the idea that he was the Blue Beetle in DC's Rebirth era, we were told that he's been out of action because of a heart condition. Frankly, I'm a little worried that these two together again, albeit fun, might not really make sense. Those are my worries though, most people will be here for the fun so let's check out if this eight-issue series at least makes me smile. Let's check it out.
The Flash #772 Review
Flash Is Working For The Weekend
After the 2021 Annual of the Flash we had last week, it's a brand new day for our favorite speedster but now that Wally's redeemed himself and we saw what actually happened at the Sanctuary when a bunch of heroes died tragically, it's time for Wally to go home, be a husband, father...... and sadly, an employee because with all that power and all that responsibility, Wally needs a paycheck to match that so let's jump into this issue and see what Wally does now that his family and him are fully back in the continuity and how he tangles with Heatwave. Let's check it out.
