Nightwing #81 Review
Writer: Tom Taylor
Artist: Bruno Redondo
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 15, 2021
I always start these Nightwing reviews by telling you how much of a Nightwing and Tom Taylor fan I am. It's because while everyone is going (lady) gaga over this book, I am waiting for it to hit with me. I did give the first issue a perfect score, mind you, but since then, it feels like Taylor is treading water in a sea of fan service, and I'm worried that he could run out of time as he did with his excellent Suicide Squad book. So, did this one pump up the jam and get me back on board? Let's find out...

Writer: Ram V

Ram V has done a damn good job of making this book feel important. I love Selina, and I love any time she gets more eyes on her book, and tying it into the Magistrate stuff going on is sure to do that. It also doesn't hurt that it's been a good book on its own as well. So, do things ramp up even more, this issue? Let's find out...

As we saw at the end of the last issue it looks like Wally has jumped into the body of Reverse Flash when he's about to be inducted into the Legion of Doom but there's something funny about the way that this scenario looks so let's jump into this issue and find out what's going on with this strange body-hopping situation. Let's check it out.
Static: Season One #1 Review
He'll Put A Shock To Your System
Art By: Chrisscross, Nicholas Draper-Ivey, Andworld Design
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 15, 2021
It's been the better part of a decade but Static is finally back in one of those weird "Season" things that comics have started doing and while I don't like comparing comics to television shows...... for a lot of reasons, but for this moment I don't like doing it because there's a chance that a show won't get picked up for a second season. Yeah, you can say that a comic can get canceled but at least I feel like I know what's going on when we stick to comic terms. Anyway, that's neither here nor there, what's right in front of us is Virgil Hawkins making his way back on the scene with a new reimagined origin for my favorite hero to come out of the Milestone Universe. Let's jump into this and see what our #1 issue looks like.
