Future State: Green Lantern #2 Review
Emerald Fights
Let's head off to the year 2035...... for at least maybe one of the stories. Yeah, we're heading back into a time where the Green Lantern Power Battery has gone offline, leaving our heroes without the power to defend themselves and in some instances, even get themselves back home. In the previous issue, I found the main story featuring John Stewart, Salaak and G'Nort to be lacking because it was just them going up against a cult of Khund warriors invading a planet but when we got to the more personal backups featuring Jessica Cruz and then Guy Gardner... Well, that's when the book really made me happy I read it. Let's jump into this issue and see if the John Stewart story picks up and if the backups here, featuring Teen Lantern and Hal Jordan can top what we got previously. Let's check it out.
Future State: Robin Eternal #2 Review
Fight Of The Formerly Dead
It's the year 2025 and the Bat-Family is in shambles. The Magistrate has taken over Gotham City and turned into a police state that wants to shoot all masks on sight. To further achieve this goal the Magistrate has been working on converting the Lazarus Pits liquid into resin so that they can hopefully turn their robotic police force, "The Cybers" into immortal automatons. It's up to Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown and a plucky former We Are Robin member named Darcy to stop the shipment of Lazarus Resin from coming into the city even if that means death....... and as we saw from the previous issue, Tim Drake died for his endeavor but was soaked in the Lazarus Resin, bringing him back...... but was he brought back right? Let's jump into this issue and check it out.
Future State: Teen Titans #2 Review
Dial "H" For Horsemen
It's time to go back to the year 2027 and see how the Teen Titans are faring against the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and hopefully, in this issue, we'll learn a few things along the way.... like who is Red X, why Dick Grayson is acting super sketchy and maybe, just maybe, what brought the Horsemen on in the first place. Let's jump into this issue and see if things have picked up from the previous one. Let's check it out.

Future State: Superman / Wonder Woman #2 recovers Jon Kent/Superman from his blackout at the end of the last issue to wakeup up in the floating Fortress of Solitude with Yara Flor/Wonder Woman making a lot of noise and a lot of mess in the Trophy Room. When Yara explains she's agreed to her own race against Kuat to get him to stay away from the fight with Solaris. Yara gets to see Jon complete his daily routine of chores that very conveniently reveals a solution that will help them win both their races. It's at least easier to understand than the first issue. It's more weird facial art. It's Future State.

Future State: Kara Zor-El Superwoman #2 picks up the story mid-battle as Linari's aunt and cousins arrive on the moon to take the jewel that gives Linari her power. Aunty Kimara explains (with a bewilderingly hillbilly speaking style) Kara needs to let them take Lynari because is a murderer. The story that is both true and false, doesn't sit well with Kara, and she gives up on her self-imposed pacifism to kick some flying, giant, space-eel butt. Things go from bad to worse when Aunty Kimara pulls a Boushh the bounty hunter and threatens to blow up the moon. What's a Superwoman to do?
