Batgirl #46 Review
Not So Golden
Writer: Cecil Castellucci
Artist: Carmine Di Giandomenico
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 24, 2020
I have not been enjoying Batgirl much lately. Since Cecil Castellucci took over the book during the Year of the Villain story, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but this book keeps getting worse each month. Unearth followed by this liquid metal nonsense? Really? These are the stories available for one of the best characters in the DCU. I must not be the only one having problems because the sales are awful. I still have to review it and am hoping it suddenly become readable... yea, I'm not asking for much. Let's see what we get...
Plunge #4 Review
Writer: Joe Hill
Pencils: Stuart Immonen
Colors: Dave Stewart
Letters: Deron Bennett
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 23rd, 2020
In the last issue we find the crew of the Derleth still "alive" and that they've got gifts for their visiters. A Walk-Man like device that can read people's souls (myrrh), an oil that can power cities for millions of years (frankincense) and something that causes people to kill each other so they can have it when they see it (gold). We just saw the latter, as three of the McReady's crew died in a scrap for that item, and the only survivor lost an eye.
Aquaman #60 Review
Hey Hey Mama
Writer: Kelly Sue DeConnick
Artist: Miguel Mendonca, Romolo Fajardo Jr., and Clayton Cowles
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 24, 2020
I have enjoyed Kelly Sue DeConnick's run on Aquaman so far. After a slow start, things have picked up, and Andy, the Aquababy, is so damn cute that you can't help but smile every time you see her! The problem is, she is missing, and that burns my toast, big time! Kelly Sue better stop playing games and give us back our Aquababy right now! Well, does she? Let's find out...

Teen Titans #42 Review
Blood Trail
Art By: Javier Fernandez, Marcelo Maiolo, Rob Leigh
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 23, 2020
Now that the Djinn War is over, it's time to see what's left of the Teen Titans after that last arc, where it looked like that not only the team wasn't really friends anymore, but that they were completely shutting down the team as well. It would be kind of weird having a Teen Titans title without an actual Teen Titans so let's jump into this issue and find out what happened to Brother Blood after he was mind-wiped by our heroes, sent out into the world and then given his memories back when the magic faded. Let's jump into this issue and check it out.
Suicide Squad #6 Review
Rules and Regulations
Writer: Tom Taylor
Artist: Bruno Redondo, Adriano Lucas, and Wes Abbott
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 23, 2020
While it's a surprise that this book isn't doing better, sales-wise, I am glad that DC Comics is making an effort to change that. Last week, the Squad were in Flash Annual #3, and this week, Batman shows up. Plus, last issue's cliffhanger and the Deadshot spoiler have to get more readers, right? I hope so, because this book deserves more success. That said, how is this issue? Let's find out...

Batman Beyond #44 Review
Hostile Takeover
Art By: Sean Chen, Sean Parsons, Travis Lanham
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 23, 2020
Apparently, the League of Assassins isn't happy with Damian Wayne as their leader and have decided that the real way to go is with their new leader Zeh-Ro and his ideals of taking Ra's Al Ghul's ideas to the extreme. For this to go down though, they'll need Damian out of the picture, and with the League of Assassins, that doesn't mean sending him on a lengthy vacation. Back in Neo Gotham though, Terry McGinnis is back in action, while Elainna Grayson makes her way closer to becoming the new Batwoman, good and proper. Let's jump into this issue and see if Terry can save Damian from his fate and if we'll discover what Zeh-Ro has in store for the world at large. Let's check it out.
Justice League Dark #23 Review
Cutting Out The Rot
Art By: Kyle Hotz, June Chung, Rob Leigh
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: June 23, 2020
Release Date: June 23, 2020
It's the conclusion to the Parliaments of Life story arc and with it, the war of the Parliaments. Previously, we saw Dr. Fate talking to the Parliaments of Stone, Waves, Flame and Vapors to try to get them to help out and put life back in balance and after a little convincing, that included the idea that these Parliaments dig humans because of the stories they tell about the Parliaments, they agreed. Now it's all about getting Abby Arcane back as the sole Avatar of the Rot and kicking Anton Arcane right in the keister. Let's jump into this issue and see how all of this plays out and what the face of the DC Universe will look like by the end. Let's check it out.
The Flash #756 Review
Art by: Christian Duce, Luis Guerrero, and Steve Wands
Release Date: June 24, 2020
Cover Price: $3.99
Well, that whole Paradox thing ended with a thud, but at least we got Reverse-Flash back in the book, right? I mean, it felt like at least three issues since we last saw him! All that Paradox setup and the promise of a Flash/Reverse-Flash team-up ended up just a prelude to this Reverse-Flash Family story, which will be okay if this story hits and hits hard. Does it? Let's find out...

It's time for another Anniversary!...... they just keep on coming! Yeah, we've had some delays for this to finally get to us, but boy can I tell you that it came out right on time in my mind. It's been a while since we've had any real Lantern action going on in DC Comics, besides for what crazy stuff that Grant Morrison is up to in The Green Lantern and John Stewart having a weird-ass tattoo ring in Justice League and because we've been lacking in the emerald light, in my opinion, this Super Spectacular is a sight for sore eyes and I'm happy as hell as a Green Lantern fan to get it.

As we get closer to the Joker War, I want to get to the Joker War!!! It's not that the Designer story is terrible; it just seems to want to get to the Joker War as well, so what the hell, let's do it! I guess that's not how things work, so Tynion has a few more issues to dot his Ts and Cross his Is before the big crossover arrives at Batman #95. So, how is this latest issue? It looks like old Jimmy boy was right on a couple of things, and that always makes me happy. What am I talking about? Let's find out...
