Ram V popped in and out of this book and now it's time for Joelle Jones to get back to work.  Yea, this book has been running in place for a long time now, but maybe this last break is just what the doctor ordered for Jones to kickstart her story...and my heart!  There are some interesting things going on here, they just end up being pushed to the back burner over and over.  Does that end this month?  Let's find out...

Supergirl has started anew once again and while the previous issue wasn’t as friendly to people wanting to jump onto the book, it did give us the beginning of something that I’m hoping our creative team will continue to build upon and gives us some of the high quality content that I’ve come to expect from this team. At this point we’ve got the new Brainiac who has infiltrated the Fortress of Solitude, Supergirl has just been attacked and saved by Jeremiah and she has just found the body of Eliza. There’s a lot that needs to be addressed in this new issue and I for one cannot wait to see where it takes us. Let’s just jump into this issue and see where it takes us.

Review by Joey Casco of TheWineStalker.net

In Detective #1012, Mr. Freeze was abducting women similar to Nora to use as guinea pigs on the serum that Lex had given him. His thugs had left one of the women in her house after she fell down and busted her head. When she woke up she called the cops, which alerted Batman to a rash of abductions. Freeze killed one of the thugs and, not knowing that Batman was on the case, sent the other one back to the house to collect the lady. But Batman was there waiting, he knocks the guy out with his fist.

Review by Joey Casco of TheWineStalker.net

Well, it looks like this is my final review for Justice League Odyssey as I'll be writing the reviews for the Hill House books by the time it's out again. Maybe I'll come back to it in a half a year + after those books are done, but do we really think that JLO will still be around then?

Batman and the Outsiders #6 Review

The Light at the Beginning of the Tunnel

Writer: Bryan Hill
Artist: Dexter Soy, Veronica Gandini, and Clayton Cowles
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: October 9, 2019

It took a while, but Black Lightning and the rest of the Outsiders finally (I mean FINALLY) got to Sofia and while her rescue was a bit too fast after issues of setup, at least they got the job done.  Of course, the cliffhanger revealed that Sofia wasn't exactly the main target all along and was there as bait for the main catch or catches.  Going into this issue, I was hoping that Bryan Hill would use that ending to catapult this book into a must-read thrill ride going forward.  Did he do that or did he slam on the breaks and put his story back into the slow lane?  Let's find out...

Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity #1 Review

What Black Label Was Made For!

Artist: Mico Suayan and Mike Mayhew
Cover Price: $5.99

Review by: Carlos S.

This was another book that I went into reading without knowing much about it.  It started pretty slow but as the pages turned, it found a steady enjoyable momentum.  Here we find that Harley Quinn is working as a consultant to the GCPD.  She is a forensic psychiatrist and a behavioral profiler who works with the homicide unit.  The Joker has murdered her roommate.  How does this play out?  Let’s see.

For this Year of the Villain one-shot we get to see what our Clown Prince of Crime is up to during the City of Bane........ Obviously, the big draw to this issue besides for it being about the Joker is that horror writer/director John Carpenter co-wrote this issue, but if you're looking to see what this pair of writers will have Lex Luthor offer our title villain....... Well, you're out of luck there.  Let's jump into this issue and see what the Joker does in a city that's devoid of a Batman.  Let's check it out.

The Flash #80 Review and *SPOILERS*

Psychological Profile

Written By: Joshua Williamson
Art By: Scott Kolins, Luis Guerrero
Letters By: Steve Wands
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: October 9, 2019

*Non Spoilers and Score At The Bottom*

The latest issue of Flash slowed the pace WAY down in order to set other plot points up and while it had a great cliffhanger, the issue was pretty dull. So, here’s hoping that we once again kick things into high gear in this new issue. We have plenty of things that we can use to accomplish this. The Rogues are back together and supercharged, Iris is back, Hunter Zoloman has returned and kidnapped Steadfast, and finally the Black Flash is still racing around looking for new forces to murder. With all these things going on in this book right now, we should have plenty to look forward to in this issue. So, let’s just jump right in and see where it takes us.
