Turtleman?!

All good things come in threes they say, which leads us to this moment right here the return of the Batman/TMNT crossover, by DC Comics and IDW, for the third time.  I managed to avoid the solicits for this title, as well as any and all spoilers prior to picking it up for review, however having read and reviewed all the previous two series myself, here on this very website, I was fairly confident in my knowledge involving this continuity entering this issue. With that said, why then was my head spinning, while also having a heck of a lot of fun at the start of this issue? Lets discuss just what James Tynion has up his sleeve for the beginning of his Batman/TMNT grand finale.

I have been pretty torn on this series. It started off so strong, tapered off in the middle, and while it seemed to rediscover some of the magic last time, I’m not fully convinced we’re back yet. Will Peter J. Tomasi put it all together for the final few issues of his time with the Super Sons? I sure hope so! Let’s dive in and find out.

It's the finale of the Terminus Agenda...... you know, not counting an epilogue issue.  With that in mind, let's hope beyond hope that we get some answers to what exactly a "Terminus Agenda" is and why it took the entirety of this crossover to reveal.  In our previous issue of this arc in Teen Titans #29, we saw the shackles on the villains in Damian's dungeon disengage and with that....... Well, everyone wanted some payback for what was done to them.  Let's jump into this issue and see if our heroes can survive this inner assault on their base and just what Deathstroke's plans for Damian Wayne are.  Let's check it out.

Young Justice #5 Review

What The What?

Written By: Brian Michael Bendis
Art By: John Timms, Kris Anka, Doc Shaner, Gabe Eltaeb, Wes Abbott
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: May 1, 2019

It's back to Gemworld whether I like it or not because we have to go check in on our Young Justice team and see if we'll get some answers to how and why it appears that everyone knows that they were once Young Justice in this continuity when everyone forgot about Conner Kent and Bart Allen has spent the entirety of New 52 up until The Flash War trapped and forgotten in the Speed Force.  Also, it would be nice to find out more about Teen Lantern.  Oh yeah, there's a lot of questions I need to be answered in a satisfying way, but there's only so much you can do in twenty pages.  Let's jump into this issue and check it out.

Justice League #23 Review

Star Light Star Bright

Written by: Scott Snyder
Art by: Jorge Jimenez, Alejandro Sanchez, and Tom Napolitano
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: May 1, 2019

I have really been into the Sixth Dimension story that Scott Snyder has been telling in this book.  Yea, I was a bit upset that the brakes were slammed on it the last issue, but we are back baby and I am pumped.  If you don't remember, the League was being put in an alt-Apokolips prison by Lois Lane and if that doesn't have you chomping at the bit, then you ain't going to win the derby!  Yea, that doesn't make sense, but hopefully, this issue does and a whole lot more...

Release Date: May 1, 2019

Hey everyone, the Knightmares are over and that is enough reason to rejoice, right?  Of course, I am joking a bit since not everyone has been down on this book as I have been and really, in this crazy fandom we love, nobody is right or wrong.  So, here we go with my opinion of this issue.  Does it get me back on the trolley that I jumped off of about 50 issues ago?  Let's find out...

For as big as this comic seems to be, I have not heard a lot of hype surrounding it.  I actually have heard more confusion about what it is and how it all continues and that's not a good thing.  Well, hopefully, I can shed some light into all of this stuff going on as well as tell you if this issue is worth the 25¢ sticker price.
