Recap from Issue #1 of The Man of Two Worlds: With only a few Zeta Beams left, Adam Strange has decided that he will leave Earth behind and stay on planet Rann with his pregnant wife Alanna forever. But he needs to go back and say goodbye to his sister and his ailing father one last time. Adam and his father's doctor (Evelyn Fox) get drunk and he may or may have not cheated on Alanna, while a revolution is being conspired back on Rann. Upon his return, Adam hallucinates in the Zeta Beam and when he finally reaches Rann he thinks Sardath (Alanna's father) has turned evil so he beats the snot out of him and his guards. Suddenly realizing what he's done after Alanna hits him on the head with a rock, he flees. But his jetpack has been shot and he crash lands into the wastelands of Rann.

Chris and Reggie's Cosmic Treadmill ep. 131 - Dinosaurs Attack! #1 (2013)

Sore as a Dinosaur

Say hello to yesteryear, comic book enthusiasts! In this episode, time-travelers Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) take a trip to the Mesozoic Age...or was that the Devonian? They check in on some ancestors that never quite existed when they read Dinosaurs Attack! by Gary Gerani, Herb Trimpe, and Earl Norem, published by IDW in 2013! After the necessary biographical information, our saurian scientists dive into the 1988 Topps trading card set that birthed this comic book series, and look at why it began at one publisher almost thirty years ago, but concluded at IDW. After a reading of the issue and a brief intermission, these temporal physicists tell the rest of this bizarre and probably overly-complex story, and wrap it up with a history of trading cards--the gory edition. It's an episode steeped in viscera and pseudo-science, you don't want to miss it!

Adventures of the Super Sons #8 Review

Writer: Peter J. Tomasi
Art team: Carlo Barberi, Matt Santorelli, Protobunker, and Rob Leigh
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: March 6, 2019
Reviewed by: Jon Wayne

Though things have dragged at times in the Adventures of the Super Sons, the series is carried by the amazing relationship between our lead characters. We have meandered for a while, and any hopes I had of a really fun, coming of age adventure across the stars have slowly faded. Instead, 7 issues in and I am still not really sure what this story is. In light of the lack of progression, I feel like I’ve been too generous with my scores to this point, but can the book salvage something fun in the last 5 issues? Let’s find out.

Mm…looks like a new story arc, and a new artist is on deck. I love Bilquis Evely’s work, so of course I’m giving this newcomer a side-eye…but I’m sure they’re of decent quality, considering this is a Vertigo title. Thing is, you could be a decent artist, and still not worthy of drinking Bilquis’ ink wash! I have spoken! Take a look at my review of The Dreaming #7, see if I change my tune.

Doomsday Clock #9 Review

Tick, Tock, Tick...

Written By: Geoff Johns
Art By: Gary Frank, Brad Anderson
Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: March 6, 2019

How the hell can Geoff Johns top himself after the previous issue?  The world that was alluded to us in this future DC landscape came into perfect view in issue #8 and it captivated the hell out of me in not only achieving that, but also with the emotional dialog and amazing art that accompanied it.  The world has changed now.  Superheroes are on the outs with the people of Earth, but that's not going to stop our heroes from protecting them.  Let's jump into this issue and see if the momentum keeps building as the Doomsday Clock ticks down.  Let's check it out.

Continuity Be Damned!

Art By: Patrick Gleason, Viktor Bogdanovic, Jonathan Glapion, Alejandro Sanchez, Chris Sotomayor, Hi-Fi, Carlos M. Mangual, Josh Reed
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: March 6, 2019

It's time we learned some answers about Impulse and Superboy, right?  Well, we'll have to see about that because those two characters make no sense within the continuity right now, especially the way they were presented in the first issue and because of that I'm just chomping at the bit for Brian Michael Bendis to explain himself about what he's doing here and to make it worse......... Those characters weren't even in the previous issue.  That all changes here though as we head on back to Gemworld to see how our Young Justice team are faring in Dark Opal's world.  Let's check it out.

Justice League #19 Review

Mischief Makers

Writer: Scott Snyder
Artist: Jorge Jimenez
Publisher: DC Comics
Release Date: March 6, 2019
Cover Price: $3.99

Scott Snyder has set up this book to go really big and with the state of the DCU at the moment, especially with all the delays hampering the Doomsday Clock, I need something to wow me.  Sure, I also want it to make sense and while that has been a bit of a sticking point with me in this series so far, I will put a bunch of the blame on myself as I am a big dummy.  So, do we kick things up a notch, throw some spices around and yell "Bam!" or whatever the hell Emeril used to yell?  Let's find out...

Batman #66 Review

Mind Games

Writer: Tom King
Artist: Jorge Fornes
Publisher: DC Comics
Release Date: March 6, 2019
Cover Price: $3.99

After the Price crossover interlude, it is back to the Knightmares storyline and I can't say I am that excited.  This whole arc has felt disjointed since it started and taking a month off probably won't help.  However, if you can remember way back to January (I know it's hard for me too!), you may recall that I actually liked the ending to the last Knightmares issue.  Tom King finally lifted the veil a bit and kind of told us what was going on beyond the craziness on the page.  Batman alone and being forced to live out his darkest thoughts and fears with nobody coming to help him.  Pretty cool stuff.  So, does Tom King pick up from there and give us more to enjoy?  Let's find out...
