Well, there were a bunch of books this week that make our list. That is a good thing, right? Right! We will see how next week goes with Annuals week upon us, but let's celebrate the now!
Old Lady Harley #1
Writer: Frank Tieri
Artist: Inaki Miranda, Eva De La Cruz, and Dave Sharpe
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: October 24, 2018
What Jim Said: This is just what the doctor ordered for anyone not getting a kick out of the current Harley book. Frank Tieri seems content to have fun here and I actually find that refreshing considering what DC has been giving us lately. Inaki Miranda's art is icing on the cake on an issue that surprised me by how much I enjoyed it.
Score: 8.5/10
Writer: Joshua Williamson
Artist: Stjepan Sejic and Deron Bennett
Cover Price: $3.99

What Joey Said: This was another fun read like the first issue but this one really showed the stakes involved. People are dying, they have no way of communicating with the Green Lantern Corps or the Justice League, and they don't even know if they can really get out at all. And again, the characters are true to their personalities, the dialogue is excellent, and holy freakin' crap the art is GORGEOUS. I thought Sejic was only doing the first issue but I'm glad that he's at least doing a few. So I'm giving it another high score. Even though we're only two issues deep, I'm loving this series so far.
Score: 8.5/10
Written By: Kat Howard
Art By: Tom Fowler
Cover Price: $3.99
On Sale Date: October 24, 2018
What Chris Said: Perhaps the most accessible-to-newcomers of the Sandman Universe line... and luckily, a whole lot of fun to boot! Twenty pages in, and I already feel invested in Tim Hunter... and am looking forward to the next chapter.
Score: 8.5/10
Art by: Patrick Zircher, Mike Spicer, and Tom Napolitano
Cover Price: $2.99
Release Date: October 24, 2018
What Hussein Said: I'm genuinely looking forward to the next issue. The ending introduces some wackiness which I'm always down for. The art was fantastic, fun, and vibrant, and the story seems to be getting better.
Score: 7.8/10
Writer: James Tynion IV
Art: Emanuela Lupacchino, Ray McCarthy, Romulo Fajardo Jr., and Dave Sharpe
Cover Price: $3.99
On Sale Date: October 24, 2018
What Reggie Said: Looks like the world of magic as we know it is going away, and Justice League Dark continues trying to stem the tide. Except for Wonder Woman, of course, he's possessed by Hecate. Too bad, that.
Score: 7.0/10
Batgirl #28
Penciller: Paul Pelletier
Inker: Norm Rapmund
Colorist: Jordie Bellaire
Letterer: Deron Bennett
Cover Price: $3.99
On Sale Date: October 24, 2018
What Reggie Said: We meet the new Grotesque and some of the scope of their plot, but not enough to hang our hats on. Barbara's character continues to be elevated in subtle but lasting ways, and this issue has a much-needed talk between Babs and her dad, though it ran a little long. This has been a pretty cool story arc, I think I'm ready for its conclusion now.
Score: 7.0/10
Written By: Brian Michael Bendis
Art By: Ryan Sook, Wade Von Grawbadger, Brad Anderson, Josh Reed
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: October 24, 2018
What Eric Said: Discovering where Superman's marriage stands in this issue was the high point of the book and for the most part, I think it was really well done. Yeah, Lois' dialog was odd as hell and some of her reasons behind things seem off, but all in all, I look forward to continuing my Bendis Action Comics journey and finding out what he has planned for the long haul of our hero.
