It's a big week in comics with the New York Comic Con going on, but let's not forget about the books that came out this week! Here are the ones that made our list of Best of the Week!
Wonder Woman/Justice League Dark: The Witching Hour #1
Writer: James Tynion IV
Artist: Jesus Merino
Colors: Romulo Fajardo Jr.
Letters: Dave Sharpe
Cover Price: $4.99
On Sale Date: October 3, 2018
What Reggie Said: A few pages are given over to necessary recap, but most of the book is that spooky, wispy death magic that we've come to know and love from DC Comics. Justice League Dark has proven to be a very solid book thus far, so if you've enjoyed that, you can continue on to this crossover with confidence.
Score: 8.0/10
The Dreaming #2
Written By: Simon Spurrier
Illustrated By: Bilquis Evely
Colors By: Mat Lopes
Letters By: Simon Bowland
Cover Price: $3.99
On Sale Date: October 3, 2018
What Reggie Said: Good old Mervyn Pumpkinhead has a problem with management in the Dreaming: there isn't any! So he petitions an old frienemy to clean up these strange streets. Another artistic triumph by Bilquis Evely and co., but the story doesn't flow as neatly as in the first issue. Perhaps that owed to Mervyn's gravelly-voiced narration?

Deathstroke #36
Written By: Christopher Priest
Art By: Ed Benes, Fernando Pasarin, Richard Friend, Jason Paz, Wade Von Grawbadger, Jeremy Cox, Willie Schubert
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: October 3, 2018
What Eric Said: This issue may throw a bunch of people off because of it jumping back into a story that was set up over six months ago before the Deathstroke Vs. Batman arc went and interrupted it, but since I've been waiting for this, I was all about jumping back into crazy Deathstroke and seeing what Priest has been doing with this character since his run began. Yeah, this issue is a bit slow at times but overall I had a fun time here and can't wait to get to the bottom of what's going on in the world of The Terminator.
Score: 7.5/10
Nightwing #50
Written By: Ben Percy
Art By: Travis Moore, Chris Mooneyham, Klaus Janson, Tamra Bonvillain, Nick Filardi, John Kalisz,
Carlos M. Mangual
Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: October 3, 2018
What Eric Said: It's all-new, all-different Nightwing going forward and while I'm sure people are going to hate it outright, this is something that while not something that I initially love, it's something that is at least interesting and finding a new way to make this title fresh. The art in this issue is decent and while I would have liked to know more about what's going on behind the scenes with our character, this issue did a decent job in setting up his new status quo.
Score: 7.0/10

Justice League #9
Writer: Scott Snyder
Artist: Jorge Jimenez
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: October 3, 2018
What Jim Said: A nice character issue that seems to be waiting for the Drowned event coming up. I liked the character interactions and the art was fantastic, but I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed after the big Legion of Doom issue we just got. Disappointed, but not overly let down and still onboard going forward.
Score: 7.0/10
The Dreaming by Simon Spurrier is my all time fav!
