Oh dear…Frankly this was terrible, I had the slim hope of this final issue (thankfully) having some redeeming attributes to it, but again, my low expectations were not met, and if anyone read my previous reviews, you would know that my expectations were quite low (possibly lower than a snakes belly), lets get to it if we must.
I was debating whether to try and stretch this out (taking a cue from this book!) but there is nothing to stretch, basically the alien had gone off the rails and killed the entire crew except for the one who said ‘I told you so’ and turns the ship around to go back to the asteroid from where it came. This could have been alien on a budget but it completely failed in every department, there is no atmosphere built in the book, no redeeming character interactions, the woman who does survive has no likable traits, not even discount Ellen Ripley here.
I suppose the worst bit of the whole issue, is nothing is really resolved the alien is still at large in the asteroid and the last member of the crew flies off. No deep questions about our own place in the universe, no commentary on other life out there, no philosophy on cooperation, teamwork, conflict, just nothing sadly.
Bits and Pieces
This follows the series in being dull, boring and lacking anything provocative to say, the art is equally poor as the colour palette is dark, gloomy and dull just like the whole series, sadly I would have to say avoid this one, it could have been done in 48 page special and would have been better for it.
2/10
