*Non Spoilers and Score At The Bottom*

It's time to get back to Neo Gotham, where Terry McGinnis is fighting for his life now that Stalker has been hired by some mysterious person to take Batman down.  In our previous issue, the world watched as we did as Stalker tore our hero down, but thankfully, with each blow that Stalker through at our future Dark Knight, our hero would retaliate in kind.  Too bad that eventually, Stalker got the upper hand and was about to reveal Terry's identity to the watching world.  Let's jump into this issue and see how Batman will get out of this one and see if our mysterious villain will reveal himself.  Let's check it out.

Explain It!:

Our issue begins with Terry escaping his unmasking and with that........ Well, the issue continues the same way the last bit have been going in where Batman fights the baddie and eventually we get to a cliffhanger where our hero looks like he's going to die........... Yeah, that happens here, but thankfully, we do get some interesting reveals here to spice this issue up more than previous ones.

In this, we have Matt McGinnis continuing to look like he's about to back his brother up as Robin Beyond, but before he gets the chance, we see that the woman who had previously broke into Wayne Manor and stolen a picture of Terry is actually Ten and she plans on backing Batman up so that it looks good in the eyes of Terry so that she can prove to him that she's changed........ It's a too little too late situation though because before she shows up on the scene, the mysterious villain who hired Stalker to do this job reveals himself to be Payback and he isn't too happy that Stalker is trying to finish off the Batman, when he was only supposed to subdue him.

In the end, Payback cuts Stalker's cybernetic legs off and even though Ten shows up to help our Capeless Crusader, she just ends up getting taken by Payback, while Terry is busy making sure that Stalker is safe.  As our issue closes, Payback teleports away with Ten, but leaves a grenade behind and we leave this issue with Terry and Stalker being blown out of a skyscraper.

That's it for this issue of Batman Beyond and while the reveals this issue were a nice touch to make this issue stand out more than the previous ones, there's still a lot of time in this book where nothing goes down except for a fight that's been going on for three issues now.  I wasn't a huge fan of the art this issue, but I'd say that the majority of it was okay, while only a few pages stood out as looking odd and overall, this is just another mediocre issue that has some reveals that you may or may not have seen coming.

Bits and Pieces:

Batman Beyond continues its mediocrity as the book is padded out with an over extended fight scene and only gives us some character reveals to try and keep us satisfied as this series just runs itself into the ground.  The art is okay for the most part, but all in all, this series stopped being fun a long time ago.

5.5/10
