We continue our adventure with our earth bound galactic protector Peter Quill as he is saved time in jail by Lieutenant Commander Brand of Alpha Flight.

Two Weeks Later:

Peter is suited up in his new superhero outfit and ready to go out and start his 100 hours of community service, though not the one he thought, at a retirement community. He goes to spend the day with Mr. Allen, who isn't exactly happy to have been signed up for this program, let alone to have to spend 100 hours with Peter.

After Peter basically tells him he's not going anywhere because whether Mr. Allen needs him or not Peter needs Mr. Allen, they go off to a park where Peter hears something and goes running to it. The noises he heard happened to have been a bank heist in progress, right when Peter is about to jump in to stop the bad guys in swings Ms. Marvel.

After being scolded by a child for being irresponsible Mr. Allen and Peter head back to the retirement home to find Mr. Allens son riffling through his things looking for something. This issue ends with Mr. Allen getting Peter a job to help him pay his fine to the court.

Bits and Pieces

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! Even in a book that has very little action in it I love seeing Peter being goofy. I still hope that this series leads him into being a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy again because I would love to see more Groot and Rocket interactions. This art team is amazing as well and they way they portray Peter is PHENOMENAL!

9/10

  1. Glad to hear Chip Zdarsky killing it after Howard The Duck. Would love to see him return to HTD soon. Deadpool the Duck isn't working for me.
