It’s time for final exams at the Crucible Academy – and they may just spell the death of Supergirl!
This issue is so bittersweet for me. I have fallen in love with Supergirl and the Crucible Academy story only for the book to get canceled. After the sad news was announced, I have had nothing but respect for Perkins and Johnson who took a bad situation and still gave us a great story. I sense that they had to put things on fast forward, but it has still been so good and hasn't felt forced or rushed. Of course, Emanuela Lupacchino's art has also been stellar and I will miss this creative team after this issue. I can't wait for Wednesday, but will be so sad when I get to that final page.
Where does Supergirl (2011) pick back up after the final chapter of The Crucible Academy in Supergirl #40? I noticed there is no Supergirl 41 in April.
ReplyDeleteSadly, we will have to wait a bit. It was cancelled, but my guess is that it will be back when the tv show comes out...however, it will probably be a very different book.
DeleteThank you so much for the update, I appreciate it.
Deleteno problem...let's keep our fingers crossed for Supergirl to return soon. One thing you may be interested in is Convergence: Supergirl Matrix coming out next week
