While I loved Azzarello and Chiang's Wonder Woman story, I was hoping that Meredith would bring a fresh take to the book. You know, make it her own. Last issue and the preview below are what I didn't want, a book stuck between the old story and the new. I do like the idea of Wonder Woman interacting more with the whole DCU, but this preview seems to make that a bad thing, at least to the Amazons. David Finch's art looks really good and I will keep my fingers crossed that this is the start of something special.
I can't help but think of that robot owl in the clash of the titans movies when i see those hawks
