The displaced masses taking shelter in Chicago run for their lives when an unbelievable force descends on the city. Scattered and frantic, Barbara and Dick Grayson hunt for shelter and find a safe haven that hides a sinister secret. Will the two make it out alive with their son?
Well if the solicit is telling the truth, then we have a very heavy Dick and Barbara Grayson issue coming to us this week........... and that's awesome, only if we hadn't seen what looked like Barbara's death in the last issue of Earth 2: World's End. So I have no idea what's going on. Let's check out what this preview is throwing at us.
Well alright, it looks like we're synced up with our Earth 2 title timelines, so hopefully we get to see Barbara Gordon survive this issue, I just hope we don't see her with superpowers because I like her just the way she is.......... But its the time of Wonders, so she'll probably be the Earth 2 Black Canary or something.
As depressing as it is, i must turn you towards the futures end series...we do no see barbara, dick or their son on earth 1...yet. HOWEVER that being said if she did get powers she would have been on cadmus island
ReplyDeleteWell I don't understand the purpose of hitting someone with a asteroid that came from a Boom Tubing planet that collided with the moon if it isn't going to give someone strange ass powers. That would just make her dead and dead isn't interesting............ unless this segment of Earth 2 now becomes "My Two Dads" with Dick Grayson and Wildcat.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I just realized when dead is interesting. We haven't seen a Earth 2 Spectre yet and a Barbara Gordon Spectre really seems like a new and interesting idea. Murdered by an invading alien force, Barbara Gordon is refused entry into heaven until she returns to Earth imbued with the power of The Spectre and stops the invading forces. BAM.........Drops the Mic. Now that's what I want to see.
ReplyDeleteActually has there been a female spectre period? Like i know corrigan, Hal jordan, and crispus allen, but is there a female spectre?
ReplyDeleteand i won't lie, i'm already picturing the white streak in her hair that corrigan has.
Also true on the dead not being interesting, however i think if it did, it might ripple over to dick to become someone better for his son.
Having Barbara being the first female Spectre is something that I desperately want to see now because that's a hell of a curve ball. I don't know how much the story will allow us to get any real depth to characters because it's seems like we're just gonna be on a war kick to the very end, but I think the drama that would be created between Dick and Barbara with her being the wrath of god would be more interesting than Dick taking the spotlight like he normally does.
