Now I don't know if Ben Affleck will be any good in the role of our savior Batman, but this picture of what he'll look like has taken my stress level down a bit. I really dig what we can see of the new Batmobile, and when Zack Snyder said he'd be an older grittier Batman it doesn't look like he was lying. Just looking at this Batman with the short ears, and large symbol on his chest it looks a lot like The Dark Knight Returns Batman. While that seems cool as hell, it does lead to another problem I have with DC movies. If this is Dark Knight Batman, and we're dealing with a Superman that just broke someone's neck, then what I get out of this is, this movie will be devoid of all humor. But I'll wait and see, I have high hopes being a fan of all things DC. So far making my opinion based off a single picture to a movie that will come out in two years that we don't know the plot for yet...... I like it.
I would rather a Batman/Superman movie be more serious. Maybe not devoid of humor, but at least stay true to form of the characters. It does look like an awesome batmobile though.
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm all about that batmobile. Looks to me to be a cross between Burton's, and the current Batman and Robin Batmobile. I like a serious movie, but Man of Steel could has been a tad more lighthearted like the first Captain America. It just opens it to a wider audience.
